Bu Ysgol Bro Aled yn llwyddiannus yn ddiweddar allan o 40 o gystadleuwyr eraill yn y gystadleuaeth yma. Fel gwobr dylai twrbein gwynt wedi ei gynhyrchu gan Gwmni Swift fod wedi cyrraedd yr ysgol a'i osod ar y to. Er hynny, yn dilyn arolwg o'r safle yn ddiweddarach, penderfynwyd na fyddai twrbein yn addas i'r sefyllfa yma ac fe'i newidwyd am baneli haul. Fe ddefnyddir y trydan a gynhyrchir er defnydd yr ysgol ac fe symudi'r yr agenda wyrdd ymlaen trwy godi ymwybyddiaeth y disgyblion
Mae gan Ysgol Bro Aled ddiddordeb mawr mewn gwella hinsawdd y blaned a thorri lawr ar gynhyrchu nwy CO2 ac fe fydd y twrbein hwn yn arbed hyd at 1.4 o dunelli o gynnyrch CO2 yn flynyddol. Enwebwyd yr ysgol gan Mrs Marian Davies sydd yn brif gogyddes yno.

Bro Aled School were recently successful out of 40 entrants in winning the above competition. As a prize a wind turbine produced by the Swift Company should have been delivered and erected on the school’s roof. However, following a building survey it was discovered that a turbine would not be suitable at this site and was replaced by solar panels. The electricity produced will be used by the school and it’ll move the green agenda forward and help raise the pupil’s awareness
The school has historically shown interest in improving the planet’s environment and reduction of CO2 production and it is expected that this turbine will save up to 1.4 tonnes of this gas being released into the atmosphere.
The nomination came from Mrs Marian Davies who is the Head Cook at the school.
