Daeth nifer o aelodau o gor Mizoram i'r pentref tros ben wythnos diwethaf (11-07-2014) Roeddent wedi cystadlu yn Eisteddfod Rhyngwladol Llangollen ar y Dydd Gwener, a daethant yn 4ydd yn y gystadleuaeth. Dyma oedd y tro cyntaf iddynt ymweld a Chymru. Aiff y cysylltiad a Mizoram yn ol i hanner cyntaf yr 20 fed ganrif pan oedd cenhadon o Gymru'n mynd i Assam (yr enw gwreiddiol) er dysgu'r brodorion am Gristnogaeth. Roedd tad gweinidog presennol Eglwysi Bro Aled, Aneurin Owen (O W Owen) yn un o'r cenhadon hyn, ac fe anwyd Aneurin yn y wlad hono. Tra yn yr ardal cawsant gyfle i dreulio amser yn Old Trafford, cartref Manchester United a buont yn canu yr "Halleluia Chorus" yn 'stafell newid y tim cartref!. Yn ogystal, cafwyd cyfle i ganu fel cor yn oedfaon y dydd yng nghapel Coffa Henry Rees, ac yn y Ganolfan yn dilyn barbeciw. Roedd hefyd nifer dda o'r ymwelwyr yn dawnsio un o ddownsiau traddiodadol y wlad tra wedi gwisgo mewn gwisgoedd lliwgar.
A number of the Mizoram Choir spent time in the village over the week end (11-07-2014) They had competed earlier on the Friday at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod and they came fourth in the competition. This is the first time that the have visited Wales. The connection with Mizoram go back to the first half of the twentieth century when missionaries from Wales went to Assam (the origional name) to teach the natives Christianity. The Bro Aled Churches' present minister, Aneurin Owen's father (O W Owen) was one of these missionaries and Aneurin was born out there. Whilst in the area, they had the opportunity to visit Old Trafford, the home of Manchester United and they sang some of the "Halleluia Chorus" in the home team's changing room! additionally, they had the opportunity to sing at the services in Henry Rees Memorial Chapel on the Sunday and in the Ganolfan following a B-B-Q lunch. In addition a number of the visitors performed a traditional dance of their country whist dressed in their colourful clothes.
